Spring is right around the corner, and I just started a creepy new series called “Summoner and Scribe. " It tells the story of Benj, a melancholy young lad who gives up on his dream of being an author of children’s tragedies to take a good-paying but soul-crushing job as a scribe for a Master Occultist…who specializes in summoning demons.

Also, I recently was featured in Hi-Fructose Magazine and was part of their invitational show last month at Arch Enemy Arts, in Philly. That was pretty rad.  

On the Easel: 

Presently I am painting a series called “On the Trail” about a small group of pioneers headed west along the Oregon Trail to follow the California Gold Rush. Along their journey, the party is spirited away. This is an origins story of sorts for the Southwestern Bellows, the fantasy land where all of my paintings take place

In the Sketchbook:

I am having a lot of fun working on the storyboard for a yet-to-be-titled series about a paranormal investigator, named Hattie Hibbs and her quest to research and write a book about the extraterrestrial beings who inhabit her world.

I am excited to share that I was featured in the latest Hi-Fructose, issue #66. @hifructosemag I just received my copy and I am so thrilled! Back in 2009 when I was a baby painter just getting started, I dreamed of having my work published in a professional art magazine. And now--fourteen years later--it has finally happened! I guess it pays to stick with something, haha. Wahoo!
